NUON Racing Day

The ‘day of thunder’ began with actual thunder and rain; our heroes did not let this dampen their
spirits and faced the challenge head on.

Lieke Daams, Kevin Langedijk, Ricardo van Dijk, Johan Cruijssen, Bart de Rooij, Faisal Machou, Dennis
Honders, Jelle de Boer, Woud Albers, Maarten Blom and Kenny Michielsen, were the first passed the
finish line to qualify for a fabulous day on the race track. Rhea Nijs qualified on behalf of the
charities division to show the energy guys what racing is all about. The driving challenges came thick and fast throughout the day. From precision driving tests including slalom, a slip course and 4x4 off road; to burning rubber on the race track in supercharged Porsches,
BMWs, Formula 3 cars and ‘pedal to the metal’ drag racing!

All the hard work has paid off and our policy of goal, hit, reward has never been more relevant.
